Best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. We 3 hadn’t all agreed upon this point after a day or so but within a couple of days we had all agreed. Nothing to fault. Despite houses being around it is incredibly private and you can feel alone amongst the treetops overlooking the canopy and with an awesome ocean view. Comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, 2 living areas but hard to remove yourself from the upstairs views overlooking everything you could wish for if you were imagining your dream outlook. Seriously, this house is awesome and would stay again in a heartbeat if I were in the area.

Stunning views and close to beach.

Fabulous stay, this place is great in the photos but in reality even better, it doesn’t get much better than this with the most amazing views and a wonderful clean home.
Lots to do but also incredibly peaceful if you are just looking to chill.
Close to lots of activities if you wish, a great restaurant just down the road, ‘Lukes Kitchen’. Close to the beach for a walk via a private path from the house.
We will be back and highly recommend both the home and Selena.

Fantastic views of (& proximity to) the beach. The all day sun kept upstairs really warm. Downstairs was a bit cooler & we were a little worried about it being cold overnight, but it turned out to be fine. A very relaxing stay.

The Wow House deserves its name! One of the most incredible Airbnb's I've ever stayed in. Even better than the photos-- & they're amazing! The views from the living, kitchen, dining, & bed rooms are jaw-dropping. And the vanishing glass wall, sliding glass doors, & 3 large decks allow for seamless indoor/outdoor living. The house is perched at the perfect height & angles for maximum ocean views, while also enjoying complete privacy. From nearly every room, I felt that the crashing waves were right there-- I could hear & see them all the time-- & they were an easy 2-minute walk away down a lovely footpath. The home's location simply couldn't be better. In addition, the home was well equipped, clean, & just a delighful place to be. And Serena is a wonderful host-- friendly, helpful, proactive, responsive, and an excellent communicator. Though I live on the opposite side of the globe, I plan to return b/c this home is so wonderful. I loved every minute of my 4-week stay.

The house and location were absolutely beautiful.

WOW indeed! This house is an architectural gem. We survived a pretty bad storm and still enjoyed our stay. And the glass is clean and clear!! The view is EVERYWHERE. Also, don't underestimate the house's trail to the beach. It's a lovely walk through a garden.
A few things to note before you book:
---There aren't beach chairs, beach towels, etc. Plan accordingly.
---The owners use a separate website for a lot of the house info (not the AirBnB app). That was pretty frustrating for us. The site takes a while to load, it's not visually easy to navigate, and it's the only place to get the entry code (but cell service isn't strong at the front door so loading is an issue.). Definitely download entry info in advance.
---You get one thin towel per person and its pretty small. Bring more.
Otherwise... the place is stunning, the beach is phenomenal, and Luke's Kitchen is as good as they say. :)). Enjoy!

We loved this place! Best thing is most certainly the views and hearing the crashing waves. Never stayed in a place like this before. Very unique! The deck furniture is very comfy as well as the sofa inside and watching the waves with some food or wine was very relaxing. Star gazing was incredible there too. It's easy to find, feels very private, was very clean and the location is about a 5 mins drive to Luke's Kitchen (a must on your visit) and about a 20mins drive to Whitianga. The interior design reminds one a bit of a 90s holiday place so could be a little bit modernised perhaps but the overall layout was interesting and well designed. Serena was super responsive and helpful and check in was very simple. We found it very hard to leave and would happily come again!

Beautiful spot with the most spectacular views. Even when it rained! The Wow House was very clean and well equipped, we cooked easily in the kitchen which had everything we needed. Totally recommended

Honestly such a cool place, and I'd come back just for the view alone. The huge windows and nice deck offer great options to sit down and enjoy the scenery, be it rain or shine.
Very calm and beautiful area. The house also felt very private, as it is not visible from the road.

This was a great place to stay. We had some wild weather which was fun to sit and watch roll in off the sea. And we had everything we needed to cook some great food and relax. Thanks so much!

What an amazing house in an incredible location. The views were beautiful. The beach a quick walk - so easy swimming and beachcombing. Great location and close to the New Chums Beach and Cathedral Cove. The house was clean and well furnished and equipped. Wish we has been able to stay longer.

This was the most beautiful Air BnB I have ever stayed in. The pictures don’t do it justice, and that’s saying something. The property was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we could need, the instructions on how to find and enter were clear, and Serena was a very responsive host. As for location, the house is elevated with stunning views whilst also being a short five minute walk to the beach. The beach was quiet and beautiful, but just a short drive from shops and cafes. We loved our stay here!

The view just blew us away, and the property was kitted out with everything we needed for a holiday with the grown up kids and their partners. Immaculately clean, and so easy to work with Mark and Serena. Thank you guys, gonna save my pennies as we so want to go back!

Our stay at the wow house was just amazing. We were overwhelmed by the view from the living room. The accomodation provided everything we could wish for. I loved that there is a private walkway through the trees to the beautiful beach. 10/10 stay

The photos dont do it justice and there are so many words to describe the views. We were blessed with beautiful warm, sunny days and we spent hours moving between decks to take in the spectacular scenery. Having a BBQ was great as we were there for some nights when Luke’s Kitchen wasnt open, what an asset to a spectacular place. We had long walks on several local beaches and time just flew past. The stars at night were truly amazing as well. We have moved on to another part if beautiful NZ but I am missing this already, its just super special and full credit to the owners for a stunningly designed house with so many creature comforts. Cant wait to return and stay longer.

“Wow” is an understatement. The view is even better in person. Trust me. House was immaculate, well stocked and very comfortable. The little walking path down to the beach is charmed. Mark was incredibly attentive and proactive in all communications. Would love to come back!

Staying at the "Wow" house was beyond WOW!
Mark was very helpful before our trip with places to go and things to do during our stay.
When we arrived at the house for our Christmas holiday, Mark and Serena had put up a Christmas tree with tinsel and lights for us! WOW!
And that view? Honestly, it is incredibly peaceful gazing out their picture glass windows.
Our family had a wonderful time and can't thank Mark and Serena enough for their hospitality!

Beautiful place with an incredible view. Beach is walking distance and perfect for a swim. Place was clean and tidy and check in was easy.

It was not horrible but not great either, the view is nice but overall we didnt feel to comfortable here. It is less beautiful than the photos make it seem. The interior design and furniture doesn't feel modern, more like grandmas place. Downstairs living room with TV felt cluttered with old sofas and unwelcoming, we rather watched TV on laptop upstairs than hang out there. Host required a sign-up in a separate guest portal where we had to pay a deposit of 500$ to get the address and check in info.

Our reply: It's unfortunate that instead of embracing the abundance of positive attributes present in the house and its surroundings, your attention was fixated only on certain aspects that weren't really to your taste. Just to clarify, our past guests, who have given us stellar ratings, have all loved the experience at The Wow House, and we have made no alterations for your visit.

Absolutely stunning views, beautiful location and certainly lives up to its name of Wow House. Excellent amenities and very comfortable. Lukes Kitchen was a fantastic place to eat and adjoining cafe for breakfast and cake. Would highly recommend Mark's place to anyone. Our ony regret was our short stay and wished longer.

There were some problems getting entry, but Marc was very helpful. He seemed genuinely interested in making our stay as pleasant as possible.

Our reply: The entry problems were the local council had dug up the footpath in front of the driveway to the house, unexpectedly and without notice to me. We meet Tom's group and helped them with their bags to the house. The footpath is all fixed so no longer a problem getting to the house. Was lovely to meet Tom and friends as a result.

This is an amazing place to stay with great views. Mark was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the view was amazing & looked just like photos. Our GPS didn’t show the exact address of Cuvier but when Bluff Road was entered we were able to access due to Mark’s instructions. We recommend the wow house & Lukes restaurant for delicious pizzas.

What a view! Such a lovely place for a weekend getaway, would recommend to everyone!

We had a lovely stay at Mark & Serena’s, the location was perfect and allowed easy commute to and around the coromandel peninsula.
There is great coffee and great pizza only 5 minute drive away, very lucky.
And to be honest, the views from the WoW house are better than what the photos depict!
The gas fireplace added ambience both day and night and the kitchen upstairs was well equipped.
The only negative is that there is no tv upstairs which tended to split the family between upstairs and downstairs during our stay.
Apart from this, couldn’t fault.

We spent a beautiful three days here. Mark was incredibly responsive and helpful. Excellent value. Mostly hung around in the house, cooked for each other in the nicely appointed kitchen, read books, drank good wine, and enjoyed the view. It's the perfect place to take some time out, slow down, and get back to nature. Still not over the view. The pics don't do it justice. Stunning. Ngā mihi nui.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the WOW House! The layout of the house is perfect for us and the speakers made our stay more relaxing in addition to the majestic views.

The best part of this home is as soon as you walk in you are greeted by a magnificent view of the beach, viewed from a huge glass screen. Could just sit there for hours.
The home is also very tidy and has all the necessary amenities.

Stayed at Mark’s place for the weekend with friends. Great location, clean house and we really enjoyed staying there

Everything! The house, location, view, comfortable beds! The sunrises! Outstanding. Even on a bad weather day this house would still be amazing! Dolphins, surfers and beach walkers - plenty to see from the house. Close to beach and a lovely walk done to Lukes Kitchen for a brew or beer.

if it were permitted we would give WOW House 10 stars! We traveled throughout the North Island for 6 weeks and Mark's place was the best by far. We are counting the days until we can return.

We had a fantastic 5 nights here, it’s pretty rare we’ll tell people where they should or shouldn’t go but we’ll be telling folks to stay at this house for sure.
Great functionality to the house with lots of different spaces, mostly all with *that* view; super close to a really great beach, and not far to lots of others; top tier communication from the hosts.

The views were stunning and the proximity to the beach was very good. The outside shower was handy. We did find that it got quite stuffy at night with no fans or air-conditioning and we couldn't open most of the windows due to mosquitoes.

We had a great stay at Mark's beautiful property. The walk down to the beach is short and easy. As a heads up, beach/swimming towels are not provided.
We came with the groceries we needed for our stay, which was lucky, as there is nothing but a campsite tuckshop anywhere around! We found all the cooking equipment we needed in the kitchen.
The upstairs is breathtaking, with incredible views! The downstairs is a lot less luxurious, but still fine! Opening the deck doors lets a lovely breeze through to cool the place down, but that's not an option after dark when the mosquitoes are very keen to get in (we do recommend bringing bug spray!).

This Airbnb is stunning and as everyone has said the views are breathtaking. Mark was great to communicate with and resolved a very minor issue we had very quickly. The house is really well equipped for a great stay in the stunning Coromandel. The stairs to the ground floor are quite steep for anyone with mobility issues - just a point to be aware of. Would we stay again? In a heartbeat!

We just loved it…. What a view!!

Wow House is a perfect name for this beautiful glass palace above the sea. We experienced very kind of weather, from gale force winds and heavy rain to sunny calm warmth. The location is amazing. The host is on top of everything and super responsive to questions. Aside from enjoying the magnificent views we most appreciated the drive to Hahei Beach and walk to Cathedral Cove. One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in, and that’s saying a lot.

Just what we wanted. A perfect unspoiled location in a great house with outstanding views of the bay and islands.

Great view with the wow factor. We had the most relaxed two days there, remember to bring your wine, food and sunglasses, just enjoy the sunshine, the view and beach. a bit nosiey when the kid runs around upstairs but free ear plugs available by bed. Very thoughtful and great communication before and during our stay. Highly recommend and will come back again. Thanks.

The view is definitely wow! Worth staying for the view and the decks alone. As a couple we found the top level of the house perfect and very comfortable. Might be worth noting for groups that the lower level of the house is a bit more basic than the top level (likely great for kids!), and that the TV is downstairs.

Total bang for the buck. Fantastic & peaceful location, great host communication, great attention to detail. Absolutely loved it.

It is the second time we stayed in the Wow house. It is this gorgeous that we wanted to share it with family visiting from Europe. And Wow, truly Wow. Even the second time around it is as beautiful and mesmerizing.

Everything is superbly arranged, everything is available, communication is top notch, check-in is too easy, the house is clean and comfortable. We stayed with 2 young kids (3 and 1 yr old). The living/main area has a door that can be closed so kids can't walk down the stairs. If the door is open though, the second stairs is long one down and no baby gate is available. The same applies to the main deck, there is a staircase down with no baby gate. We solved this by placing the outdoor chairs in front of the staircase. Just keep a watchful eye on the kids.

Currently we are looking for another rental batch and although we like to explore new areas/houses. We might just end up with the Wow house again if available because I've not been able to find something as beautiful as this one.

(You can walk to Lukes kitchen in +/- 45 minutes.)

The name of the house says it all. Amazing views, well equipped, short walk down to the beach. We loved our time here. Would easily accommodate 2 families with the rumpus room set up downstairs for the kids.

A stunning house on one of our favorite beaches in New Zealand. The Wow House has everything you need and more for a super comfortable vacation. The home has stunning views over Kūaotunu and easy walking access down to the beach. It's a large very clean house and perfect for our family of four and my parents. We cooked a few nice meals in the kitchen and BBQ and also went to Luke's Kitchen a few times, which is a short drive just a few minutes away. It's a great location for exploring surrounding Coromandel beaches. Thank you Mark, we will definitely be back. Best, Gabrielle

I would highly recommend a stay at the Wow house for anyone wanting a fuss-free holiday. The location and the property itself allows you to do as much or as little as you like, including just staring at the amazing view. There is a full kitchen full of all of the tools you need to be self-sufficient, or the village of Kuaotunu is close by for a pizza at Luke’s Kitchen or amazing coffee and cafe food at the cafe. Whitiangi is only a drive away for everything else you may possibly need. The view is incredible, the beach itself is lovely to walk along and we enjoyed playing in the waves. The location makes day trips around the Peninsula easy. It is a must if you are in the Coromandel, we will definitely be back.

This was the most amazing home set up for a stess free holiday. Everythimg you need inclidung towels and linen. The view was out of this world and we just sat and watched the majestic ocean for hours. We will be coming there to stay without a doubt. Just beautuful.

House is perfectly positioned with amazing views. Easy walk to the beach for a swim and handy outdoor shower. Very quiet and loads of nice touches in the house to make staying really comfortable. Great surf beaches to choose from, and useful local store and coffee shop. Places to sit in the sun and shade at all times of the day. Took a trip to whitanga to sail on Windbourne and Luke’s kitchen for takeaway pizzas on our last night. Perfect.

If you’re considering staying in this area, this is 110% the place you need to book. Mark was a brilliant host and it’s clear they’ve put in lots of effort into the finishing touches. For example there were make up wipes in the master en-suite, different types of seasoning in the pantry, shampoo and conditioner in the shower, rubbish bags and plenty of other details that take your stay from good to great.

The house is about a 3-minute walk to the beach and the house has fantastic views of the water. We enjoyed plenty of meals outside on the deck and it was divine. The beds were comfy, towels and linen were provided, and house was spotless. Also, great WiFi too.

Can’t recommend this house enough and when I’m back in the area, I’ll absolutely book this place again. 11/10 from me and my family.

This is an absolute hidden New Zealand gem! Star gazing, listening to ocean, seeing an abundance of life, playing kiwi tunes on the in-house speakers I’m excited for more people to experience this place!

The wow house is definitely that, as you walk into the house and see the spectacular view off the lounge area. Great location, we were lucky to stay just before peak summer so enjoyed the beach basically to ourselves which is located within a short stroll from the property. The house was very clean and contained all the necessities to make it a relaxing care free holiday.

What a beautiful spot to share with the world. Amazing views and so many comfy sitting areas to relax and enjoy the peace or do a puzzle. Toasty electric blankets were lovely to get into at night & beautiful sun filled afternoons on the deck were a delight!

Location was excellent, we have a boat and like to launch At Kuaotunu so it was perfect to keep an eye of the sea, the house was beautiful and modern and lovely and clean, and has everything you might need.

Our family LOVED Serina’s place, the location and everything about our stay. We were only sorry we had to leave. The home & view are more beautiful than the pictures. The walk to the beach is beautiful, and the small neighborhood is well appointment with a great coffee shop and restaurant. We would recommend to anyone and visit again!

Wow! Do yourself a favor a stay here. Beautiful home with cool breezes and one of the best kitchens I've stayed in. Very peaceful and quiet. Close to funky little shop and wonderful restaurant a short walk down the hill. Nice beach on other side of restaurant and spectacular Optama beach in 8 min drive. TV&WIFI A+. Unbelievable sunsets from deck. Comfy main bed. Superb host, super easy to text. Best AirBnB kitchen I've stayed at, all appliances top notch. 5 star accomodation. Thank you!!

We stayed for four nights and could not fault the home. The house was nicely furnished and very well appointed with all we needed. Our stay at Kuaotunu Escape was just divine, so peaceful and out of the way yet so close to the village, beach and Luke's Kitchen. It was a great base for us to relax as well as explore this stretch of the Coromandel Peninsula. Absolutely spotless kitchen and bathroom. Serena was a terrific host and went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. Would love to stay again some time!

A beautiful space with a view that is genuinely breathtaking. Quite frustrating having to go off app and put all of your details in again, and to have to go to another site to get all the passcode info. Air bnb has all this so just use it.

Kuaotunu Escape is even better than it looks on the website! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had picked the perfect spot for our summer holiday. The well-designed, well-equipped house nestled in native bush is super comfortable with great indoor/outdoor flow, gorgeous sea views, and total privacy. Yet it's just a five minute walk to a terrific cafe (amazing coffee!) and restaurant as well as a lovely beach.
Not only did we love the house and surrounding area, every step of the process from making the booking to checking in to checking out was super easy. Really, I can't say enough about how great this place is and what a great job the host does to help ensure you have a wonderful stay. We look forward to returning.

Absolutely loved our stay at Marks place! 200% recommend this property for a coromandel getaway. We stayed for 1 week and loved every minute, great location with a cafe and fabulous restaurant just a couple of minutes walk away. Spent most evenings on the deck watching the world go by and seeing awesome sunsets, what a view!!! Amazingly equipped kitchen and everything was just perfect for us 4 adults. Mark communicated great and made sure everything was good for us. Will definitely be returning hopefully in the near future we have missed the home so much and cannot stop talking about how great it was. Thankyou for renting out this amazing place and letting us experience it!

Can’t fault the place at all. Good value for money and the best pies in the country are only a stones throw away (big call but i have a PhD in Pie eating and Coro Pies are legit!). Very clean,tidy and warm! Absolutely stunning view, morning to night.
Mark checked in with us to ensure we had all we needed, and to see if there was any further assistance sought but we had everything required from the outset to have a pleasant and peaceful rest. Very pleasant and easy to deal with.

This is a fantastic place to stay in for Kuaotunu and the Coromandel. The house is great and the views spectacular. The beach nearby is a picture and Luke's kitchen is a great place to eat locally.

We got very lucky with the weather, timing our visit with 4 days of sun between storms.

The location is great, wonderful cafe and restaurant just down the hill. Also some lovely, very quiet, beaches nearby.

We have about 500 pictures of the view, from the balcony - so lovely.

The house was perfect for our little family, lots of places to relax.

We look forward to coming back when we’re back in New Zealand

Staying in Kuaotunu Beach (as compared to Hahei or Whitianga or any of the other more popular areas) was just fantastic. Being in this small local community in a house situated on a hill overlooking the water was incredible. The house has all the amenities anyone would need and communicating with management was fantastic. I truly hope to return one day. You can't go wrong with this house and location! :)

The accommodation was very private with a gorgeous ocean view. Unfortunately the weather was not too great for us but we enjoyed our stay playing board games!!
There is a cafe nearby where you can pick up your favorite coffee in the morning. The pizza place next to the cafe was delicious too. Overall great stay.

An absolute gem of a property. Mark and Serena are excellent hosts with great communication. The house is immaculate and the views are brilliant. It is a very private property with a small/easy walk to the beach. We highly recommend this place and we will definitely re-book!

The sea view from the property is just stunning. The property is clean, well insulated, there is plenty of space and you can enjoy a high level of privacy. The interior is modern and looks very recent. Last but not least the kitchen is fully and well equipped with high end appliances.

One of the nicest places we have ever stayed. The view was truly incredible, every bit as good as the photos if not better, and we really enjoyed the sheep grazing next door as well. The house was super clean and comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped for any kind of cooking you might want to do. Location feels more remote than other parts of the Coromandel, which is what we were looking for, while being super close to a lovely beach, general store and cafe. Hour or so to Cathedral Cove.

It is well maintained and has all you need for a great holiday. It's close enough to be able to walk to Kuaotunu which has an excellent beach, coffee shop and restaurant. The setting is amazing, small garden then down a few steps to the beach. Check in was simple and everything you need to know is laid out. Not sure about the TV and casting as we don't watch TV! Unfortunately we only found the games and puzzles on our last day when doing a final check through Great cafe and store 10 minutes along the beach with good local coffee. Kūaotuna is a quiet, unspoilt village.Serena responded very promptly to all our messages, especially when there was a systems glitch with our booking. Plenty of heaters, rugs and cushions. We had a perfect winter weekend getaway and have already booked to come back!Thank you for sharing your home.

This was a great on beach location. It was so nice to walk out the door with a few short steps to a refreshing ocean swim or a walk along the beach to gather sea shells. The home has large windows and sliding doors with excellent views of the beach. There's only one restaurant in town but it suited our needs just fine. The home was clean, bright and well appointed with a thoughtful gift basket filled with teas and cookies. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we would have had more time here. We would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway in beautiful New Zealand.

Location on the beach was spectacular. Very private. Tricky driveway entry. The home was quite roomy, excellent widows and doors to the ocean. Overall the decor was quite dated. It also had a strong oder of air freshener. I was also thrown off by the separate damage deposit and contract I was asked to sign. I wont to this again. This home has huge potential with a makeover. Loved the setting and quiet town.

We started our vacation here and the first thing we did was walk down to the beach and walk the entire beautiful sand beach. My son loved the water, although a little chilly.
This is the perfect place to gather your thoughts, go on long walks and just listen to the ocean. The town is so quaint and the cafe and restaurant were great and delicious (busy on the weekends). I will definitely be back.

Serena’s place right on Kūaotunu Beach was fantastic! We spent hours on that beach and walked down the beach to Luke’s Kitchen for amazing dinners and the cafe for yummy coffee in the morning. Convenient to lots of other great beaches and walks around the area. The house itself was perfect for our family and had all the amenities needed for our stay. The extra beach towels were definitely needed…Serena was amazing and brought them during our stay. At the last minute we were able to get a late checkout and Serena was so accomodating (we didn’t expect her to say yes!). Overall we will definitely be coming back again!!

A stunning location in a homely Bach. A great selection of books and games, and good wifi (if you can drag yourself away from the beach!). Mark was easily contactable when there was a powercut, and patiently talked me through the process for when the power came back on. We’ll definitely be back. Loved it!

We have stayed several times, but it was the first time we had taken our 2 sons. Weather wasnt great but still managed a couple of swims. Cant beat being right on the beachfront and hearing the surf breaking at night

This place was so much more then we expected. The location could not be better! Beach is so quiet and safe. Perfect for kids. We have never had such a wonderful and stress free vacation. I would 100% recommend this to anyone and everyone. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and wake up to the most beautiful view, right outside your door framed by gorgeous old trees. Nothing between you and the golden sand and the beautiful blue ocean stretching to the horizon.

Just the perfect place where to spend your holiday. The location of the house is just amazing, right on the beach, with beautiful views. The house itself is very cozy and Mark is just the sweetest host. Amazing when traveling with small kids too - they can run in and around the house and we didnt find any potential danger for them. Happy place that’s obviously been a family getaway and we’re grateful that’s it’s shared. I loved walking from end to end on the beach in the early morning- Luke’s Kitchen was thankfully open on a Monday- great vibes and food- we’ve since happened to meet his cousins and other relatives in our travels- he’s quite the local star and rightfully so. Das Haus von Mark ist ein echtes Juwel! Direkt am Strand gelegen (inkl. Strandzugang) bietet es nicht nur eine hervorragende Aussicht auf das Meer, sondern ist auch mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigt. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt und wir haben die Tage sehr genossen!
Man merkt, dass Mark bereits viel Erfahrung als Host hat, er hat wirklich an alles gedacht! Er ist nett und hilfsbereit, antwortet schnell.
Am besten fanden wir die Möglichkeit des Late Checkout, da unser Flieger nach Hause erst am Abend ging. So konnten wir in Ruhe packen und noch etwas Zeit am Strand verbringen.
Bei unserem nächsten Neuseeland-Urlaub kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!

Marks place was a little slice of paradise. My wife, our girls and I loved the close proximity to the beach. The view of the beach in several parts of the house was beautiful. It was lovely and peaceful and very calming being that you could hear the sound of the waves from the house. Mark was a communitive and helpful host. The house was well equipped, sunny and spacious. All the furniture was very comfortable and the dairy and restaurant were a short walk down the road or beach. We would highly recommend. We loved it so much we intend to return in the future for a longer stay.

Stayed here two nights and wish it was longer! The place is beautifully located right on the beach, with a nice garden to relax in. The view is amazing and it's so peaceful. Very private. It's not a very busy area, not many houses around and only one shop and restaurant down the road, exactly what we wanted to get away from the city. The house itself has everything that you need, including a bbq with gas and all the necessary utensils etc. The bed is very comfortable. Mark was also a great host, he sent us some messages letting us know he was available if we needed help with anything and check-up that all was going well.
Amazing stay, would highly recommend it if you're looking to get away from it all and relax.

This was an absolute dream, we could not have been happier with this beautiful spot. Walking down to the water to swim or run along the beach was so wonderful. Having a wine and local oysters on the sheltered deck watching the sunset was perfect. Everything you need is here, the bookshelf is well stocked, the kitchen well appointed - even measuring cups! Mark was super helpful and clear in his communication. We feel very lucky to have had a week in this little piece of paradise.

What a great location!!! Right on the beach with an amazing view. Beautiful beach to stroll in either direction. From the beach we saw Dotrell, Oyster Catchers, Shags, Caspian Terns and even Kaka.
Strolling into the village via the beach is such a lovely way to arrive at a restaurant. And you can drink as much as you want and not have to worry about driving as it's a leisurely beach stroll back home.
We went kayaking each day from the beach right in-front of the house.
We will hopefully be back someday soon...

Loved our stay. Location, set up all great. Just had an issue with the TV - instructions not so clear and could not get Freeview - just wanted to watch News and we all tried but to no avail - but did not matter at all. Weather was great!

Our reply: I checked the TV and it is working normally. Was on HDMI1 for Chromecast. HDMI2 is for Satellite TV. Only required 1 button to push on the remote to change. Always give me a call if you have an issues during your stay.

It was wonderful waking up to the sight and sound of the sea every morning.
Marks place is absolutely spotless and well appointed, everything you could possibly need is supplied, beds are very comfortable and the house is warm and welcoming.
Marks communication is excellent and he replied promptly to any queries that I had.
I would highly recommend this place and I hope to stay again in the near future.

Lovely house right on the beach with sunsets from the deck overlooking the surf beach. Walking distance to Luke's and driving distance to the beautiful northern Coromandel with amazing walks and beautiful beaches. Very peaceful, lovely big living area.

A beautiful, quiet spot. Ocean views and close enough to hear the waves. Few houses in the area as it is reserved for the manu including tuturuwhatu which we got to see. The house had everything we needed, full kitchen, great shower. Plenty to read. We even found a dedicated board to do our jigsaw puzzles on. Wonderful.

The house is set in the most beautiful setting looking down on a gorgeous golden/white sandy beach.
Even though we were unfortunate with the wet, grey two days, being able to sit on the window seats and see the stunning view was so relaxing.
The house is very comfortable, along with the beds and there is a massive book collection!
Definitely a lovely place to stay in.

The views and direct access to the best end of beautiful Otama beach are what sets this place apart - just stunning. The bach itself is clean, comfortable and well-appointed - no complaints. The kitchen is well-stocked, the beds are comfy, and there are books galore if you want something to read on the beach. But drifting off to the sound of the ocean each night and waking to that phenomenal view each morning made it extra special. It's a perfect spot for a quiet few days away from the city. We will definitely stay again - hopefully many more times.

We had the best time staying here, Serena was a fantastic host and the home is just beautiful - homely and inviting and the perfect location for a peaceful few days by the beach.
There’s everything you need including the most amazing collection of books for lazy days relaxing and recharging. Sleeping with the curtains open to watch the stars at night and the sunrise in the morning was just perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The setting is absolutely stunning - with a view over the ocean, falling asleep listening to ocean waves, the wonderful sandy beach just steps away, other beaches just a short drive away, great restaurant and coffee cafe nearby, incredible views and such friendly people wherever we went. We were rather sad to leave and would come back in a heartbeat. Our hosts patiently answered all our questions, made great recommendations, and through the generous use of some boogie boards, our adult children got to fulfill a "dream" of "surfing" (sort of) in NZ!

We had a wonderful 3 nights with our son and his partner visiting from Melbourne. The Bach is lovely; full of character and interesting books. And the view from the decks is amazing. Two kilometres of golden sandy beach and virtually nobody else in sight. We would love to come again.

Absolute magical spot. Everything in the house is spot on. Lots of great equipment in the kitchen to fulfil all your needs. We were a family with 2 little children and grandma and we all stayed so comfortably we never really wanted to leave the place. The view, the beach, the house. Magical. Absolute recommendation!

Mark’s house is beautifully located right on the beach. The house has amazing views and lovely decks from which to enjoy the stunning location. We had a wonderful time swimming and enjoying the area and didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend Luke’s Kitchen for dinner

Amazing place, fell in love w how warm, inviting and homely not to mention the awesome beach/ocean views from the balconies. Then there is the wonderful private seclusion so you can hide away to just curl up with the endless books available either on the great boxed cushioned window seats with sea views or on the balconies. comfy beds. Beach an easy 1 or 2 minute walk down the private but shared access with one other neighbour who is further down the road (NOT next door so yes, still private). Could do with fly/mozzie screens on the sliding doors/windows, but that's our personal opinion.

One of the most beautiful places we have stayed. Only minor downside is that the booking has an external process outside AirBnB which also requires a $500NZD security deposit, as it is managed by a seperate company. We had no issues with this but it should just be stated. Will definitely come back!

Everything we were looking for. The house is tucked away in a beautiful, private cove. We walked the beach every single day. Lovely indoor outdoor living. Fully appointed - a cozy and lived in house with wonderful views. Loved all the books. Enjoyed the quiet, reading in the various little nooks of the house, cooking for each other, nothing but the sound of the sea. The stars from the main bedroom balcony in the dead of night are like nothing I've ever seen. It's magic. A fantastic spot. Can't wait to come back.

This property was an outstanding example of how VRBO has shaped our vacationing style over the last 20 years. When you have a vision and it comes to fruition so perfectly, that is how truly great memories are created. This was a slice of heaven. Spectacular views from the home, which was extremely comfortable, a home away from home.

As book lovers we were delighted with the extensive selection of books available within the home.

Mark was welcoming, caring and attentive and I have no hesitation in recommending this holiday home.

Well set out, clean Holiday Home, with a great deck overlooking Pohutukawa trees and pristine Otama Beach. Mark is an excellent host, and the house came with added touches like a gift basket in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathroom. No TV or stereo, but many, many interesting books and sunny bay windows to sit in and read. Snapper fishing on the incoming evening tide in front of the house.

Beautiful views from this house, and Otama is a gorgeous beach. Mark was great at communicating & easy to get hold of. House was very clean, and linen provided was great. Will be back!
